A strong and healthy social service sector contributes to the overall health and well-being of any community.
Through your generosity and support, our United Way supports the work of 33 human and social service agencies
delivering quality services and programs to every corner of our City and County. We continue to build strong
partnerships with community leaders, business, labour and government, allowing us to target the critical social
issues affecting the quality of life in the City and County of Peterborough.
Making an Impact in Communities
United Way of Peterborough & District provides a means for you to invest your dollars with others to increase
the impact of that donation. This is the basic concept behind United Way -- it's strategic, impactful,
and maximizes the community’s reach by combining resources for optimum benefit.
We also have a long history of supporting the community through unique programs beyond our annual fundraising campaign.

Our United Way is committed to transparent and responsible fundraising and financial management practices.
To ensure that donor dollars are spent wisely, United Way recruits citizen volunteers to its agencies and
ensure that programs and services provide maximum impact.
